Terms and Conditions
These are the terms and conditions which govern your use of the web site which you will require to access to purchase a Slaughters Country Inn online gift voucher. By purchasing vouchers on this website, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions highlighted under this document and also the terms and conditions associated with the individual voucher purchased.
We reserve the right to alter our terms and conditions without any notice, and advise that it is your responsibility to regularly review these terms and conditions before each purchase to ensure that you are kept up-to-date with any changes to them.
1.1 A valid debit or credit card is required to complete an online voucher purchase. Payment is taken by the company and will appear on your bank statement as either ‘The Bath Priory Limited t/a The Slaughters Inn’ or ‘The Slaughters Country Inn’.
1.2 Credit Card details are entered over a secure webpage, using a 256-bit SSL certificate (Secured Sockets Layer) from Trustwave.
1.3 Payment is made using 3D Secure protocol which is designed as an additional security layer for online credit and debit card payments.
1.4 A contract of sale does not exist between you and the Company, until such time as the payment has cleared and a confirmation of purchase has been issued, irrespective of whether or not this was received.
1.5 Details entered on the voucher, including but not limited to email addresses, postal addresses or contact details are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. The Company cannot be held responsible for any errors relating to the incorrect input of data. Confirmation should be checked as soon as it is received to ensure that the details are correct.
1.6 You verify that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the Gift Voucher ordered.
1.7 To purchase any vouchers or experiences that include alcoholic beverages, you must be 18 years in age or older.
1.8 A minimum age of redemption might apply for some vouchers or experiences.
1.9 All vouchers are valid for 6 months from purchase date.
2. Issuing & Delivery of Vouchers
2.1 Vouchers can be delivered via Royal Mail postal service or electronically.
2.2 Electronic Vouchers are delivered immediately as a PDF attachment, to the email address selected.
2.3 Postal vouchers are issued by the Company, within 3 days of purchase, and are sent out via first class mail. The company cannot be held responsible for any delays in receiving the voucher. Should you require the voucher to be sent out via any other means (Special Delivery), please contact the Company directly to discuss. Additional charges may apply.
2.4 Vouchers can also be collected in person, by prior arrangement.
3. Returns & Refunds
3.1 All vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless otherwise agreed by us.
3.2 Lost or stolen vouchers will not be refunded nor be replaced.
3.3 We reserve the right not to accept vouchers which may be damaged or defaced.
3.4 Our terms and conditions, or the terms and conditions of the specific vouchers do not affect your statutory rights.
3.4 Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the purchase date. Expired vouchers are non-refundable and non-extendable.
4. Special Offer
4.1 Voucher redemption needs to take place between 01/01/15 - 28/02/15.
4.2 Promotion excludes 13th & 14th February 2015.
4.3 Only one bottle of Champagne per visit.
4.4 Offer is subject to availability and can be withdrawn without notice.
4.5 Not available in conjunction with any other offer.
STAY TERMS & CONDITIONS
Amendments and Cancellations:
All amendments and cancellations to online reservations must be made via the original mode of booking – please note that we are unable to process these directly at the hotel. Reservations made directly at the hotel can be amended at the hotel.
The Slaughters Country Inn and its staff are unable to make any babysitting arrangements on guests’ behalf, nor can any such services be charged to your room account. Our team members are not allowed to accept baby monitors under any circumstances. Should you require babysitting services, please contact The Hotel Nanny. Please note the hotel is not in any way affiliated with The Hotel Nanny, and that this will be a completely separate transaction between you and the service provider. Visit The Hotel Nanny website to book a babysitter.
Please note that only certain rooms can accommodate extra beds and travel cots, and the provision of these are subject to availability by prior arrangement.
Infants aged up to three years can stay at the Inn free of charge. Travel cots are also provided free of charge.
Children aged between 4-10 years are charged at £15.00
11-15 year olds are charged at £20.00
16 years + (adults) are charged at £30.00
These extra costs cover breakfast and linen costs
Cancellation and Non-Arrival Policy:
Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of arrival will incur a charge to the value of the first nights stay, as will non-arrivals. Bookings cancelled more that 24 hours before arrival do not carry any charge. Please cancel/amend your reservation in the same way you made the reservation – we are unable to do this at the hotel.
No deposit is charged directly by the hotel. Please note that certain third party agents require full pre-payment
We kindly ask you to give us as much advance notice of any particular dietary requirements as possible, in order for us to cater for your needs. Please note that we cannot guarantee all items to be completely allergen free, as various allergens are used in our kitchens.
Please note that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant (with the exception of registered service animals). Small dogs can be accommodated in our courtyard bedrooms and in our bar area at a supplementary charge per night – please note this is strictly by prior arrangement and subject to availability.
Please note that when booking 5 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply.
As The Slaughters Country Inn is a listed building, please be advised the we do not have a lift, and that certain rooms are only accessible by a number of stairs. Should you have any mobility concerns, kindly advise us of this before your stay, to enable us to allocate the most appropriate room for you.
Please note that it is a legal requirement to show photo ID at check in if you are resident of a country outside of the UK. For residents of the EU, a valid EU ID card or drivers licence is sufficient. Travellers from outside the EU must present a valid passport on check in – please note no other form of ID will be accepted.
Restaurant / Bar Reservations:
As the restaurant and bar does get very busy, in particular over the weekend, we advise you to reserve a table at your preferred time at your earliest convenience. We cannot guarantee table availability on the day.
