The Hotel
A honey hued Cotswold stone building, low beamed ceilings and a relaxed ambience epitomize The Slaughters Country Inn. Friendly and welcoming faces greet you, the smell of freshly cut grass permeates the air in summer and as soon as the days begin to chill the aroma of real fires is unmistakably welcoming.
Views from the windows over the gardens delight and in the summer the lawns play host to a wild variety of inquisitive local wildlife, winter transforms them into a magical frosty scene with the river under a layer of ice.
The atmosphere in The Bar is informal this is the place to return to after a ramble to enjoy great food, local ales and fine wines. Our riverside terrace is the perfect spot to be on a sunny day, hardy souls can be found out here all year round enjoying the views and the clear Cotswold air over their morning coffee or afternoon tea.
Lower Slaughter is without doubt one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds and The Slaughters provides the perfect base from which to explore the wider area, returning after a day to a comfortable room, cosy bar and easy atmosphere, just perfect.
